1990 interface and 48 character sync code!!!
I use Moneydance on my Mac and iPad. sadly, it is one of the better personal financial packages out there.
the cons:
1) the look and feel is insanely dated
2) to sync with you ipad you have to type in a 48 character code...its my personal finances not Fort Knox for crying out loud!!!
3) can attach receipts to an entry.
the pros
1) Home Page on Mac version is very useful. Quicken Essentials has a cleaner look but they have more issues...particularly commitment issues to the Mac...
2) you can actually see your cleared balances without having to take out a calculator and calculate it manually. seems like a no brainer but most financial apps for some reason dont provide this
3) you can exclude an account or specific categories from your budget. I find this a big plus as I dont want to include my business expenses in my reports as they are reimbursed and really have nothing to do with how I am managing my personal finances.
