Sync never works, except...
I have been using Moneydance on the Mac for many years now (at least since 2010). And while it has had its hiccups, I have been (for the most part) a very happy user and it has worked for me very well. The iOS app, however, is a completely different story.
I don’t mind that the functionality of the iOS app is rather limited compared to the desktop version. However, the app never, ever syncs properly with Dropbox. Some transactions get synced, others don’t, and there does not seem to be any rhyme or reason to it. In fact, the only way I can ever get it to sync is to delete the iOS app and reinstall it. Then, it will sync correctly the first time I reopen the app and maybe one or two time more after that. But inevitably, it stops correctly syncing again.
This has been going on for so long that I don’t even hold out any hope of it every being fixed.
